Nikita, Ella Blixt and Fredrik Hellström are a Dance-Pop duo from Stockholm.

Nikita is what happens when Ella and Fredrik meet up and decide not to hold anything back. The wind blows in their hair, guitars drown in chorus effects, eyes close and voices whisper to the rythm of a heartbeat. It’s simply pop music in bright colors but to them vital, and deeper than any cut. They sing about the small and the great things, the passing of time, love and the dark forces marching their streets.
Ella and Fredrik first met when they were fresh out of their teenage years, with Ella making music as ‘Bobby Baby’ and Fredrik in the duo ‘Le Sport’. They danced the pink Stockholm nights away in the spring of 2005 before Ella moved to Berlin and started projects as ‘It’s A Musical’ and ‘Bobby & Blumm’. Ten years later Ella moved to Stockholm and contacted Fredrik with the question: “Hey - you wanna go dancing?” Now they’ve been making music together for about a year and a half, with many more to come.

They shared two tracks from their debut ‘Juni EP’, and is available from June 17th through Teto Records on limited edition cassette and digital. The ‘Juni EP’ sees Ella singing in her native tongue of Swedish and they explore casual pop by their love of a dance.

2人の出会いはティーンエイジャーの終わり。EllaはBobby Babyとして、FredrikはLe Sportのメンバーとしてそれぞれ活動し、夜は共にダンスに明け暮れていた。2005年にEllaがベルリンに移り、It’s A MusicalやBobby & Blumm等での活動を経て再びストックホルムに戻る。出会いから10年後、Ellaは再びFredrikに尋ねた。“Hey - you wanna go dancing?”
まもなくして2人は曲作りをスタートさせ、約1年半の制作期間を経てついにデビュー作『Juni EP』を6月17日にTetoより数量限定のカセットテープとデジタル配信でリリース。

先行カットされた『Tystnaden』と『Vill Va Som Du』を含む本作は、Ellaのソングライターとしての確かな才能と、FredrikのLe Sport作品でも知られる豊かなトラックメイキングと、2人のこれまでの音楽経歴を凝縮したかのよう。また過去や恋愛といった些細なようで大切な日常が全編スウェーデン語で歌われている。自然と体が動いてしまうダンスナンバーからしっとりしたスロウまで、どこか憂いを帯びながらも洗練された珠玉のポップ作品となっている。
